Synopsis
Daijuuji Kurou and Al Azif, who thwarted the Evil God’s conspiracy with Demonbane, are now working as occult detectives handling strange incidents in a newly reborn world. However, a new otherworldly shadow is looming towards them. They are inexplicable phenomena caused by the [Blood Monsters]. As the duo tries to find the answer to those cases, mysterious individuals emerge: One is a girl in a red dress, the other is a boy known as [Two-Sword/Two-Gun]. Just who are they? The giant Machine God soars over Arkham City once more, where a major upheaval is on the way to becoming a reality——.

Originally, we scheduled to release the English patch somewhere in December 2025, but we have decided to shift the release date to 2026 so that we can have more time to polish our translation. In addition, we will post the English translation of the spin-off novel, Kishin Taidou, beforehand so that everyone can have the best reading experience, due to the game having many references to the aforementioned light novel.
Installation Instruction
- Make sure that you have installed the Japanese version of Kishin Hishou and change your system locale to Japan beforehand, otherwise the text would look weird.
- Extract the patch inside the folder "KishinHisho" of your main game and replace all the existing files.
- For those who got a warning of Trojan virus when unpacking the patch, be sure to turn off your Antivirus software or restore the executable from quarantine if necessary. It's the common false positive that some VN patches have encountered before.
- Run the executable and enjoy the game.
Walkthrough
- The game is a kinetic novel and doesn't have a route like its predecessor, however it has 3 endings: Normal Ending, True Ending, and Secret Ending. To unlock the True Ending, you must replay the last battle and defeat the final boss with a special combination. For the Secret Ending, you can get it after you completed the Normal Ending by restarting the game. Feel free to use the skip button to skip all the way to that specific part.
Disclaimer
- Because the game is old and only compatible with older Windows, if you are using Windows 10 or above, play the game in Windows XP (or Windows 7) compatibility mode. However, depending on your specs, you might as well have to install VMware to play it properly.
- Do not under any circumstances open popup menus in the game. That means for saving, loading, or setting up the Configuration menu. Use the keyboard shortcuts (S, L, C respectively). Otherwise the game freezes. Returning to title (since a confirmation box pops up) also freezes the game.
- There are 16 battles in total, in which 4 out of them are OG Demonbane w/o Shantak. Usually, if you are playing in Windows 10 or above, any fight with non-Shantak Demonbane will crash after the loading screen. Either skip them with full save or play with Windows XP/Windows 7 compatibility mode. The first battle is Demonbane vs Destroyer Robot and it only serves as some sort of practice fight for you to get used to the gameplay, which you can access in the Free Fight library by clicking the Extra button.
- In the Sound Settings of Configuration menu, you will see the Character Voice are all in Japanese. We didn't translate their names because it will mess up with their respective voices in the script files and make them inaudible.
- Among other things that we can't fix, the game does not recognize foreign characters except Japanese, Chinese, or English. For example, if you try to write "Iä" in the script, the game will automatically fix it into "Ia" instead.
- Both "Twin Swords" and "Eternal Champion" edition share the same contents, with only one tiny difference in one specific dialogue. Of course I won't spoil the hidden message right away, you have to find that out by yourself.
- Last but not least, be sure to read the spin-off novel Kishin Taidou before playing.

I'm sure it's time for some well deserved rest so I aint expecting anything soon (or ever, for that matter, I am pretty satisfied), but I am curious what's the next Demonbane project y'all were thinking about prioritizing next?

So our next project will be the remaining spin-off novels: Gunshin Kyoushuu and De Marigny's Clock, the short story Kishin Tairan, and then the latest installment of Demonbane Mythos: Zanma Taisen Demonbane. Since we have finished Kishin Hishou, now we can focus on translating the novels without worrying about editing script files and such. Please stay tuned for more!
